The Great Fall Onto Madness is the much-awaited sophomore album of theatrical horror band, Mr. Bones and the Boneyard Circus. The album includes the indie hit singles “Ghost Train” (featuring long-time local pop rock singer/drummer powerhouse Ria Bautista on vocals) and “Crooked Faces”.
Several guest artists from the Philippine indie music scene collaborate on the album, lending their own unique flavor to an already impressive array of tastes: singer and scream-machine Arci Muñoz features on Shadows in My Room, guitar goddess Caren Tevanny shreds some riffs on World Burn, classical violinist Maricon Reyes plays the viola on Victoria’s Lullaby, while singer-model Marv Luna raps on Boxed.
The album, which contains 13 original tracks, and one cover track, showcases a more mature sound, while remaining true to the band’s penchant for dramatics and flair for the idiosyncratic. Catchy, even danceable, rhythms and haunting melodies are an interesting twist to the band’s signature gritty sound.
